Internal Medicine
The majority of a pet's lifetime is spent well and healthy,
but if a time arises when your pet is ill we have the capability
at Creekside to diagnose and treat a wide range of diseases
and conditions. Problems with organs such as the thyroid
gland, liver, kidney, pancreas or adrenal gland may occur,
and diseases such as diabetes or heart disease may pose
problems for pets just like for people. Our staff uses the
in house laboratory equipment to analyze urine, blood and
fecal samples and can also offer diagnostic testing for
skin, ear and eye conditions. If needed, radiology and endoscopy
procedures can be performed as well. Most conditions can
be treated or managed by the Creekside doctors, but if your
pet's case requires something more we can provide a referral
to a variety of specialty practices in the DFW area. Our
staff will work with you and your pet one on one to make
sure that the highest quality of care is provided, in sickness
and in health!

Radiology
Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians
evaluate muscular skeletal,cardiovascular
(cardio-pulmonary), gastro-intestinal, reproductive and urinary
systems.
•
Digital Dental Radiology
Dental Radiology (X-rays)
is an essential tool in both humans and pets to complete the
dental assessment and generate an acceptable theraupetic plan.
X-ray will uncover any hidden painful disease such as root
abscesses, root fractures, severe bone loss of the jaw and
cystic lesions so they can be corrected during the procedure.

• Dental Care
Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining
your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean
each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental
technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth
surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments
help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity. Advanced
dental care is available by referral, including root canals,
caps and braces.
•
Pain Management
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same
circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and
alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient
care.
•
Hospice / Euthanasia Services
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work
with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity.
Services include taking care of the remains as directed
by the client.

LASERs
LASERs are precision instruments which generate an intense
beam of light at a specific wavelength. When used as a cutting
tool, a LASER can minimize adverse effects to surrounding
tissue. LASERs replace scalpels in many procedures such
as spays and neuters, and are useful in correcting a wide
range of conditions such as cysts, tumors, and warts; all
cat declaws at Creekside are done with the LASER. LASER
procedures result in less pain, less bleeding and less swelling.
They reduce the risk of infection and result in less post-operative
discomfort. Our veterinarians will be able to tell you if
your pet's procedure can be performed with a LASER.
